Logiwa supports kit creation. Here are the basics of creating a kit item:
Screen Path: WMS > SetUp > Item SetUp > Item
- Components of a kit item should be defined as separate items.
- The kit item should be defined as a separate item and the ‘Kit Item?’ flag must be checked on the Item screen
- There are 2 ways to manage kit items within the system, choose the ItemType according to your process
1- If you produce the kit item in the warehouse and pick the actual Kit Item, choose Item Type as ‘Produced’
2-If you pick the components of the kit item instead of kit creation, choose Item Type as ‘Kit’
- Build the relation between the kit item and components by clicking on the Components tab on the Item screen.
- Choose the component item, enter the quantity included, and save.
Why do I get the "A Kit item can not be defined as a component." warning message?
Warning Message :
A Kit item can not be defined as a component.
The inventory which you try to add as a component is also defined as a kit item on the Logiwa.
There are 2 possible ways to solve this.
1- Try to add a different item that is not flagged as a kit.
2- Try to turn off the kit flag from the item if it is not an actual kit item.
