How the System Calculates the Markup Rates?
1) If you use Zone-Based Markup Rates for Domestic Orders;
For An item whose zone is 10 and weight is 3 oz :
Original rate= 20
Mark up rate= 0,15
Multiplier= (1+0,15)= 1,15
Calculated rate = 20*1,15 = 23
For An item whose zone is 11 and weight is 3 oz :
Original rate= 15
Mark up rate= 0,20
Multiplier= (1+0,2)= 1,20
Calculated rate = 15*1,2 = 18
For An item whose zone is 10 and weight is 12 oz :
Original rate= 30
Mark up rate= 0,25
Multiplier= (1+0,25)= 1,25
Calculated rate = 30*1,25 = 37,5
For An item whose zone is 11 and weight is 12 oz :
Original rate= 40
Mark up rate= 0,30
Multiplier= (1+0,30)= 1,30
Calculated rate = 40*1,30 = 52
2) If you use Country-Based Markup Rates for International Orders;
For instance, for an item whose from the US to CA and weight is 6 oz :
Original rate*= 10
Mark up rate**= 0.2
Multiplier= (1+0,2)= 1,20
Calculated rate*** = 10*1.2 = 12
*(This rate info is sent by the carrier for the specific order for spesific rate)
**(This info is set on the carrier management screen Country Based MarkUp Rate)
***(You will see the result on the order operations screen on the Carrier Rate field)
The calculated rate can be checked from the Order Operations screen when you get the rate or label from the carriers.
