Inventory adjustment is a critical function when managing a warehouse. Although using a WMS allows for 100% accuracy, human error is bound to happen at some point.

The Steps
Screen Path: WMS → Operations → Inventory Adjustment
This screen is used for 2 purposes :
1- To change the inventory of an existing item
2- To receive new inventory
Fields and Explanations:
Total Inventory Qty: This quantity is the sum of all the item's quantities within all locations of the warehouse
Total Available Qty: This quantity is the sum of all the item's available quantities within all locations of the warehouse. Here available stands for the Free Quantity - Not allocated quantity
Line Inventory Qty: Quantity of the line that you see on the grid. Line quantity is used to see the different quantities for different locations, lot numbers, LPs, Parent LPs, expiration dates, etc...
Line Available Qty: Available /Not allocated quantity of the line that you see on the grid. Line quantity is used to see the different quantities for different locations, lot numbers, LPs, Parent LPs, expiration dates, etc...
New Pack Quantity: On that field, you need to write the new quantity of the line
Qty Expected With PO: Open PO quantity for that time. This quantity is an overall quantity, it is not based on the line.
Example
When you click on a line on the report, you will be able to see open Purchase Orders, Receipt Orders (ASN), and Shipment Orders for the item.
Item Pack Type: Pack type of your available stocks
Total Qty: Total Quantity Ordered
Remaining Qty: Unprocessed Quantity
How To Change Quantity Of An Item
First, write the quantity that you want to change in the New Pack Quantity field.
1. Click on the "Adjust Inventory" button on the screen.
2. On the popup window, you should choose a Package Type, Adjustment Reason, and do not forget to write a Note for the best practices.
You can see below the quantity is adjusted to 9.
To see the log of this Adjustment Operation, you can use the "Transaction History" Screen.

How To Receive New Inventory
1. When receiving a new inventory click the "Add the New Line" button.
Suggested Location: Location is suggested according to the putaway algorithm that is used in your setup.
If you enable this option, the suggested location will be automatically filled into the "Location" field, eliminating the need to scan the location code.
Add Another: If you enable this option, once you finish receiving an item a pop-up screen will be opened automatically unless you close the screen through the "Cancel" button.
How to Filter Adjustable Data?
Show Only Available Quantity: In order to filter your adjustable stock, this toggle can be turned on true.
By filtering the adjustable stock using this criterion, you will remove the stock currently in the process of picking, packing, sorting, or loading. You will only see the available quantity.
