The Daily Summary screen is a tool to gather data on your daily orders, monthly orders, and monthly profits. This article will guide you through accessing the daily summary, what data is available there, and how this data is calculated.
Accessing the Daily Summary
To access the Daily Summary page, select it from the Dashboard menu.
Select the Warehouse(s), Client(s), and the Month you want to display. Then, click the Show Data button.
Allow the page to load.
Once the Daily Summary has loaded, information for the selected criteria will be displayed in three charts: the Calendar, Monthly Orders Summary, and Monthly Profit Summary.
The Calendar is on the left side of the screen. For each day, you can see:
- the number of orders created on that day
- the number of orders shipped on that day
- total revenue
- total profit generated
- day(s) with the maximum number of created orders will be marked with a star.
On the right side of the calendar, the Monthly Orders Summary shows:
- the number of created orders
- the number of shipped orders
Below this line graph is the Monthly Profit Summary, which shows:
- total revenue
- profit generated per day
Calculating Total Revenue and Total Profit
Calculation of Total Revenue and Total Profit values on a day is explained below with an example.
Assume that there are 2 Shipment Orders created on 12-20-2018 and 3 Shipment Orders created on 12-21-2018. To be used for the Total Revenue calculation, Total Sales Gross Price is defined for each Shipment Order.
Purchase Unit Price, which is used for Total Profit calculation, is defined for each item that appears in Shipment Orders.
The number of products in a Shipment Order is multiplied by the Purchase Unit Price to find the total product cost in the order. When that number it is subtracted from Total Sales Gross Price, the result gives the Total Profit of the order.
Total Profit in a day is the sum of Total Profit values of the Shipment Orders on that day. Thus, Total Revenue on 12-20-18 equals 5000 (3000+2000), while the one on 12-21-18 equals 12000 (4000 + 4500 + 3500).
Thus, Total Revenue in a day equals the sum of Total Sales Gross Prices of Shipment Orders on that day.
|Order Date||Shipment Order||Total Sales Gross Price||Item||Nof Products||Purchase Unit Price||Nof Products * Purchase Unit Price||Total Profit|
