Dropshipping is an order fulfillment method that enables you to sell the orders without keeping inventories in your warehouse. You can sell the items through your stores and these items can be shipped from a supplier's warehouse.
If you cannot fulfill the order from your warehouse, you can use the dropshipping function on Logiwa!
NOTE: Dropshipping is only available for the Enterprise package. If you need this function, you need to upgrade your package.
How to Manage Dropshipping on Logiwa?
In order to manage the drop-shipping process on Logiwa, you need two steps.
- Mark the order as a dropship order
- Ship the dropshipping order on Logiwa
1. Mark The Order as DropShip Order
If you have an order that will be dropshipped partially or totally, you need to mark this order as a dropshipping order first.
In order to mark the order as dropship order, you should use one of the buttons below,
- Order Operations screen, "Mark DropShip Order"
- Shipment Order screen, "Mark DropShip Order"
Select the related order from the search results and click on the "Mark DropShip Order" button.
On this pop-up, you will see the "DropShip Whole Order?" toggle.
If this toggle is enabled, the total unprocessed quantity will be marked as a dropship order.
If this toggle is disabled, the item grid will appear and you should enter the "DropShip Qty" by hand.
You can save a note by using the "Notes" field and this note info will be saved for the created dropship order.
When you finish these steps, click on the "OK" button in order to save the operation.
After that, a new dropship order will be created on Logiwa but this order cannot be displayed on the Order Operations screen in order to prevent continuing processing this order in the warehouse.
On this pop-up, you will see the "DropShip Whole Order?" toggle.
- If the whole order is marked as dropship, the current order's "Shipment Order Type" will be changed as "Drop Ship" and the order status will be changed as "Freeze / On Hold".
- If an order is marked as a dropship order partially, a new order will be created. The new order's order type will be "Drop Ship" and the order status will be "Freeze / On Hold".
2. Ship The DropShip Order
Once you marked an order as a dropshipping order and then were informed by the supplier that the items are sent to the customer, you should ship the order on Logiwa.
In order to ship a dropshipping order on Logiwa, you should go to the Shipment Order screen. Select the related order from the search results and click on the "Ship DropShip Order" button.
On this pop-up,
- Enter the tracking number
- Choose carrier
- Choose shipment method
Click on the OK button. After this operation, the order status will be changed as shipped and the shipment info will be fed to the related store.
Also on this pop-up, there is a toggle called "Shipped in Multiple Boxes?" and if the order is shipped in multiple boxes, you should enable this toggle in order to fill all of the tracking number's info separately.
- Enable the "Shipped in Multiple Boxes?" toggle
- Enter the tracking number
- Choose carrier
- Choose shipment method
- Enter the "Item Qty in Box" field that included in the tracking number
- Click on the OK button
After that, the pop-up will be opened automatically until you complete all the quantities in this order.
After this operation, the order status will be changed as shipped and the shipment info will be fed to the related store.
Additional Notes
For Shopify orders, Syncing Shipment Information works as line and quantity based which means if you shipped a part of an order line, that line will be changed as partially fulfilled on Shopify.
For Other Channels, Syncing Shipment Information works as line-based which means even if you shipped a part of an order line, Logiwa will sync that line to channel as fully fulfilled.
