What are the Automation Rules?
Automation Rules allow you to manage your orders automatically within Logiwa. This saves you time and effort. You can customize the Automation Rules to your needs.
You can create specific automation rules and when the order meets criteria while downloading the orders from the stores, the defined actions will be applied to the order.
Automation rules are applied to new orders that are downloaded from Stores imported via excel, or created from Logiwa API Endpoints.
These rules cannot be applied to,
- Orders that already exist on Logiwa
- Orders that are created on Logiwa (manually created)
From the Automation Rule page, you are able to complete the actions below:
- Create a new rule
- Copy a rule
- Activate/Deactivate a rule
- Edit a rule
- Delete a rule
- Prioritize the rules
Screen Path: Entity → Automation Rule
Create a New Rule
In order to create a new automation rule, simply click the "Create New Rule" button.
After that, fill in the "Rule Name" field and identify the function of the rule.
If you want to apply the actions to all orders that come from the stores, enable the "Apply to All Orders?" toggle.
If you disable this toggle, you will see the available trigger list. Choose the triggers that you want to filter the orders and define the actions to these orders.
After that, click the "OK" button and save the rule.
You can specify one or more conditions, each of which is checked against every incoming order. If all of the conditions for an automation rule exist for an order, then that automation rule is applied to that order. If any of the conditions do not exist, then the automation rule is not applied to that order.
Automation rules work as if/then statements. The criteria of the rule will be the IF part of the rule.
For example, this rule says, IF the store is "Shopify" THEN add the "SPFY" tag to the order.
If the trigger allows you to choose multiple values (like channels, clients), they are treated as OR statements.
Here is an example with two selections:
This rule says, IF the warehouse is "Automation WH" AND IF the client is "Automation CL1" OR "Automation CL2" THEN add the "SPFY" tag to the order.
On the "text" triggers, you should type the values. If you need to add multiple different values, separate them with a semicolon (;) and this trigger works as an OR statement.
Here is an example with multiple selections on the text field:
This rule says, IF the country is "The United States" or "Canada" THEN "Set Planned Ship Date" 1 day after the order date.
Copy a Rule
You can copy an automation rule. Simply select the order then click the "Copy Rule" button.
It is possible to change the copied rule details. After the changes are completed, click the OK button. The new rule will be created directly.
Activate/Deactivate a Rule
You can create multiple automation rules but you should not exceed your purchased rule count. You can have active automation rules max your purchased rule count.
In order to activate or deactivate a rule, you should click the "Edit Rule" button and enable or disable the "Active" toggle.
Edit a Rule
In order to change trigger(s) or action(s) for your automation rule, click the "Edit Rule" button.
Make your changes, and click the "OK" button.
Delete a Rule
In order to delete an automation rule, click the "Delete Rule" button.
Prioritize the Rules
The rules work in a sequence. You can change the sequences of the rules.
In order to change the sequence of a rule, drag the rule and drop under the desired sequence.
When you drop the rule, the "Priority" field will be updated automatically.
