You can manage two types of kit items on Logiwa.
One of them is the pre-assembled(produced) that you need to pick the finished product. The other one is the kit that you need to pick its components from different locations and ship to the customer.
Since you will pick the components of the kit items during picking, you don't need any assembling process before sending the kit items to the customer.
But, you will need to assemble the components of the produced items before picking the produced products. You can create produced items when you need them and this process can be managed on Logiwa.
There are two different options to create produced items on Logiwa,
- Move the component items to a kitting location then use the Mobile - Create Kit screen to create produced items.
- Create an SO to pick the components from locations with ease. After picking these component items, create kits in a kitting area. Create an RO to receive produced items into your warehouse.
Using The Create Kit Screen
First, you may kindly go to the Inventory to Produce Report to check if you need to create produced items to fulfill your orders.
Screen Path: WMS-> Reports -> Inventory Reports -> Inventory to Produce Report
In this report, you will see the total inventory quantity, order quantity, and qty to produce fields. Qty to produce fields shows you how many items you need to fulfill your open orders for this item.
After that, you will need to find the components of this kit item and transfer the required quantity to a kitting area.
You can create an SO to pick and put the components to a location with ease. In order to create an SO for the produced kits' components, fill the Kit Qty to be Produced value and after that, click the Create Shipment Order button. Fill the order information on the opened pop-up and click OK to create the SO.
A new order will be created for the selected kit items and you will see the components of the selected kit items on the order's detail since you need to pick those.
After that, follow the standard SO process, allocate and pick the order. When you complete all picking tasks, the components will be grouped in the same location. That means you can start creating kits.
NOTE: Before creating kits, since you are done with the created SO, you should undo order operations first. After that, you should finalize the order to not see this order again on the Order Operations screen.

Using the SO and RO Processes to Create Kits
The second way to create produced items is to create an SO first to pick the components and then create an RO to receive produced kit items.
Create SO to Pick The Components
First, you may kindly go to the Inventory to Produce Report to check if you need to create produced items to fulfill your orders.
Screen Path: WMS-> Reports -> Inventory Reports -> Inventory to Produce Report
In this report, you will see the total inventory quantity, order quantity, and qty to produce fields. Qty to produce fields shows you how many items you need to fulfill your open orders for this item.
After that, create an SO to pick and put the components to a location.
Since you are done with the created SO, you should ship this order in order to deduct component items' inventories before receiving them as produced items.
Create RO to Receive Produced Items
After grouping the component items, you can start creating kit(produced) items. In order to create inventories for these produced items, you need to receive them.
Screen Path: WMS-> Order Management -> Shipment Order
You may kindly go to the Shipment Order screen to create a Receipt Order so that you can produce your kit item and your inventory keeps updating correctly.
You may click the "Create RO from Shipment Order" then fill in the fields.
Once the RO is created there is only one thing left to do. You need to receive the produced items by using the Mobile - Receipt screen.
After you finish the receiving process, you will have met your order with a kit item. You may kindly check whether everything is gone well. The Inventory to Produce Report now shows you that you have enough inventory to fulfill your orders.
