When you see any problems with an order during your operations, you can easily freeze it and transfer it to another location to be checked by the warehouse operator/supervisor. You can manage this process on the Packing Station or Order Operations screen.
If you see any wrong with the order you can easily freeze it and transfer it to another location.
1. Freezing the Order on the Order Operation Screen
There are two ways to freeze orders, on the order operations screen.
Screen Path: WMS → Operations → Order Operations
Undoing & Freezing Orders
One of the options is to freeze the order while undoing its tasks if exist. Its order status is changed to 'Freeze/On Hold'. It just freezes the order regardless of the current location of the order.
First, click the 'Undo & Freeze Order(s)' you will receive a warning message as below. It is a warning is about that you will be able to see to order on the Shipment order screen instead of the order operations screen.
While accepting this warning message the order status becomes 'Freeze/On Hold'.
You can only observe the order from the Shipment order screen. If there are allocations and jobs assigned for the order It is canceled with the freezing process.
Screen Path: WMS → Order Management → Shipment Order
Freezing Orders
While freezing the order, on the order operations screen, moves the order to the freeze location. It is the same operation that exists on the Packing screen. While pressing the Freeze Order button, It transfers all the task details of the order which are assigned for the order to the location which you want to keep as froze order (such as Freeze Location).
The order's status has become 'Freeze/On Hold'. You can check the frozen order's status location from the Shipment Order screen;
Screen Path: WMS → Order Management → Shipment Order
Before the freeze operation;
After the freeze operation;
You can check the frozen order's tasks location from the Task Processing screen;
Screen Path: WMS → Operations → Warehouse Task Processing
Before the freeze operation;
After the freeze operation;
You can check the frozen order's stock info from the Order Stock Info screen;
Screen Path: WMS → Reports → Shipment Order Reports → Order Stock Info
2.Freezing the Order on the Packing Station
During the packing process if it is required to freeze an order you can manage the freezing process from the Order Packing screen too.
Screen Path: WMS → Order Management → Order Packing
On the Order Packing process, while pressing the Freeze Order button, It transfers all the Packed and Unpacked details of the order which are on the Packing Station to the location which you want to keep it as froze order (Such as Freeze Location).
The Freeze Location is defined by the user after clicking the Freeze Order button. With this process, the stock of the order and if LP exists on the order is transferred to the Freeze Location.
- If it is an Order Packing, it transfers all the Packed and Unpacked details of the order which are on the Packing Station to Freeze Location.
- If it is a Tote Packing, it transfers all the Packed and Unpacked details of the Tote which are on the Packing Station to Freeze Location. The important point is, it transfers everything with the tote ( or LP). Some items might have been already packed to Shipment Station, the stock will be transferred within the Tote.
For example, you would like to freeze a partially packed order and move it to the Freeze Location to keep it partially packed.
The order's status has become 'Freeze/On Hold'. The order can be checked from the Shipment Order Screen;
You can check the frozen order's tasks from the Task Processing screen;
You can check the frozen order's stock info from the Order Stock Info screen;
Changing the Freeze Order (On Hold) Status - Unfreeze The Order
The freeze order process changes the status of the order to 'Freeze/On Hold' and it clears the order from the "Order Operations" screen. No operation is possible for the freeze orders. When you correct your order's problem, you can revert this status back to Started/Entered through the Shipment Order screen by simply editing the order.
Troubleshooting
It is not allowed to freeze an order if the task status of the order is started. Due to started tasks of the order, it is requested to delete or complete tasks. The Undo and Freeze Order(s) button hasn't applied for the orders if any of the tasks are in started status.
How to Solve: Please check the warehouse order's tasks from the Warehouse Task Processing screen.
Select the Assign to Selected Warehouse Tasks button and change the Started Task's status to entered, then you can undo the order's task and freeze the order's status from the Order Operations screen.
The order shouldn't be processed. Unless any picker/packer starts the order's tasks at the same time, while you are undoing and freezing the order.
