Capabilities
- Receiving the packing materials
- Tracking the packing materials' inventory
- Adjusting inventory of the packing materials
- Counting the packing materials' location to adjust inventory
The inventory level of the packing materials is trackable on Logiwa. First, be sure that you have created the packaging materials properly. The products that we use as a package type on the packing screen must be defined as an Item and toggled Packing Item on the Item screen. In this way, inventories can be taken inside and be tracked.
Receiving The Packing Materials
You can receive the packing material as it is a regular item via Purchase Order or Receipt Order.
After you receive the packing material you can track its receiving condition via Receipt Report.
Screen Path: WMS → Reports → Receipt Reports → Receipt Report
Tracking The Packing Materials' Inventory
The most commonly used screen for tracking any item's inventory is the Inventory Report. It is easy to check the packing materials' inventory level in your system.
Screen Path: WMS → Reports → Inventory Reports → Inventory Report
You can check the packing materials' instant inventory information by using the Mobile - Control screen on mobile devices.
Screen Path: WMS → Mobile → Control
Adjusting Inventory of the Packing Materials
You can adjust the packing materials' inventory levels via the Inventory Adjustment screen.
Screen Path: WMS → Operations → Inventory Adjustment
You can add a new stock line wherever you want in the warehouse or you can adjust some of the inventory's quantity. It helps you to know how many stocks you have the Packing material on your inventory.
Smart Tips:
Most commonly, you will need to deduct your inventory levels in a frequency. But, how do you know how many packing materials are used after your last adjustment?
Suggested Workaround:
- Query the Shipment Report after your last adjustment date and count the number of used packing materials for each packing material (Package Type field on the Shipment Report)
- Go to the Inventory Adjustment screen, find the related inventory (you can query by using your packing station's code as Location), and deduct the inventory level of this line according to the shipment report
That's all! Your inventories are accurate now!
Counting the Packing Materials' Location
You can also count the packing materials' location in order to adjust the inventory level of these packing materials. This option requires more time than the Inventory Adjustment screen but it is a %100 guaranteed way to adjust your inventory.
Screen Path: WMS → Mobile → Count Operations → Instant Count
The instant count document may help you with this option.
You can update counted location's inventory quantity on the Count Plan Update screen.
