Packing high volume orders (such as B2B, wholesale, transfer orders) via the Order Packing screen is little bit different than the regular multi-item orders. If you want to pack your items after picking in order to be sure that all items are picked and will be sent correctly, Logiwa offers two different ways to manage this process.
- See the order details -the items to be packed- within the grid and pack the whole order at the same time before scanning the item barcodes one by one.
- Scan the item barcodes one by one. This article will walk you through the second option
Screen Path: WMS → Order Management → Order Packing
Go to the order packing screen, after picking the orders. On the first page, scan the warehouse, client, and location details then press the Start Packing button. On the next screen, orders which are in the Start Location/Cart that you can scan will be displayed. Then scan/type the order code that you want to pack.
In this section, the order's item detail is not shown on the grid as default due to the quick download for the packing process. The information pane is shown on the screen; The item grid is not shown when the orders with 100+ lines. On this page, there is the counted Item field on the screen. It shows the packed item quantity in the order's packing process.
You can scan the packing items without checking the item grid in your operations or you can use the "Show Grid" button to see the order's item detail. The item detail is downloaded slowly due to the item detail quantity.
You can scan the items checking from the grid. The scanned items don't update themselves on this page. You need to click the "Hide Grid" and click back the "Show Grid" button in order to see the updated packed item information. In this way, the performance problems are eliminated as much as possible.
You can check the number of item fields of your order. The Counted Item field helps you to predict how many items you need to pack at the rest. The big orders' process can be quicker with this way by using mobile devices.
After you approve the order: the screen will ask you to select a package type, enter the dimension and weight details of the parcel then press the approve the package button.
